Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong City | April 10, 2025— Members of the Technical Committee of the Philippine Paint & Coatings Association, Inc. (PPCAI) convened for a strategic planning session last April 10 at Wobbly Pan, Shangri-La Plaza, to finalize the rollout of this year’s Paint Technology Course (PTC).
One of the key highlights of the meeting was the decision to combine PTC 1 and PTC 2 into a single cohesive course for 2025, offering participants a more integrated and streamlined learning experience. The course will run from June 4 to August 13, 2025, and classes will be held every Wednesday at the PIPAC Building, Ateneo de Manila University.
Leading the discussions was VP Patrick Negrete of Boysen, who serves as the Technical Committee Chair, with Director Christina Pedrasa of Nippon Paint acting as Co-Chair. They were joined by Technical Committee members from across the industry, including:
- Malou Valiente and Dianne Ruth Mendoza (Pacific Resins, Inc.)
- Virgie Lamor (Chemwealth)
- Harold Go (DMH)
- Danzen Dang Awan (RI Chemical)
- Virgie Francisco (Tradeton)
The committee tackled key logistical considerations, curriculum updates, and strategies for enhancing the course delivery to better equip industry professionals and newcomers alike. The meeting also reaffirmed PPCAI’s commitment to technical education and capacity building within the local paint and coatings sector.
“This year’s integrated PTC program reflects our ongoing drive to provide relevant and up-to-date training that matches the evolving needs of our industry,” said VP Patrick.
With preparations now well underway, the Technical Committee is optimistic that the upcoming course will continue to set the benchmark for excellence in paint technology training in the Philippines. 🖌️🖌️🖌️
