Ortigas, Philippines — The Philippine Paint and Coatings Association, Inc. (PPCAI) orchestrated a riveting evening of bingo, blending thrill and philanthropy in equal measure. On the evening of August 29, 2024, over 70 enthusiastic participants converged at the Bingo Plus Center in SM Megamall for a night dedicated to the beloved game of chance.
The event, designed as both a social gathering and a fundraising venture, saw each participant purchasing a Php2,500 ticket, which granted them access to a card for 14 games of bingo. The stakes were high, with the top prize reaching a potential Php100,000 for a perfect "Blackout" pattern across 24 numbers.
The night’s gameplay followed an exciting format: participants aimed to cover all 24 numbers on their card from a pool of 49 balls. If a Bingo was not achieved within the 49 balls, there were additional prizes for those who came close—specifically, those who were just one ball shy of victory were eligible for a 1TG prize, while those missing two balls were in the running for a 2TG prize. For an added layer of challenge, the Jackpot was set at covering the 24 numbers within 44 balls.
Despite the competitive spirit and anticipation, the elusive Jackpot remained untamed by the end of the night. However, the evening was far from uneventful. Several fortunate players walked away with Php10,000 each, adding a significant dose of excitement to the proceedings. Additionally, ten participants were selected in a raffle draw, each receiving Php1,000 as a reward for their luck.
The event, deftly organized by PPCAI’s Director Alix Reyes and Treasurer Carl Hu, showcased not only the association's commitment to fostering a vibrant community but also its knack for crafting memorable experiences.
